Victory in the Midwest!

Thanks to your support and the hard work of the Investigations Team at the Center for Client Safety, young women in a Wisconsin school district will now be protected from illegal abortions.

We can only share limited details to protect the young victim's identity, but we wanted you to hear the good news!

Several months ago, a Wisconsin resident suspected that a high school girl had been taken to an abortion facility by a school employee in an official school vehicle. It was on a day when she knew abortions were being performed. This was especially troubling because it seemed like the young girl was a minor. Wisconsin requires the consent of one parent or guardian before a minor can get an abortion. So, what this resident witnessed raised several red flags.

The witness contacted the Center for Client Safety to see if anything could be done. We said yes and immediately went to work on this case.

We followed multiple lines of investigation, which proved unsuccessful, but our team did not give up. We continued our meticulous research to ensure young women in this school district would be protected.

What our team did discover was that school faculty are not authorized to transport students to any medical appointment without parental consent, let alone to an abortion facility, and especially a minor. Our team immediately filed a complaint with the school district. School administrators and the local school board immediately began an investigation after receiving our complaint.

We just received word directly from the school - faculty members were disciplined, and positive procedural changes have been made in this Wisconsin school district to ensure this never happens again.

We are waiting for more information on the details of these actions, but we are thankful for the school board's quick response and immediate action to protect vulnerable young girls in the future.

The sidewalk advocate from Wisconsin had this to say about our win: "I knew in my gut that this incident probably violated a school district policy or Wisconsin state law, but I wasn't too sure on what to do next. I tried to research the school district policies and state laws on my own, but quickly realized I was going to need help navigating through the legal jargon.  I then reached out to the Center of Client Safety and they have been wonderful to work with. They reassured me that what I had witnessed was concerning and that they would look into this situation. This was such a weight off my shoulders and allowed me to focus on doing sidewalk ministry instead of spending countless hours trying to research and/or make phone calls.

"I think people tend to forget how many different facets there are to the pro-life movement. I am so grateful that an organization like Center For Client Safety exists to aid the work of our sidewalk ministry. I never know what kind of situations I'm going to face on the sidewalk and, honestly, I never expected I would need to reach out to the Center For Client Safety, but it's comforting to know that Sidewalk Advocates have an ally in the fight for life."
